Graft copolymers (GCP) obtained by radical graft polymerisation of (a) N-vinyl monomer(s) and optionally (b) other comonomers on (c) a polymeric grafting base, optionally with (d) a crosslinker, in which component (c) comprises (c1) at least one polyether-containing compound and (c2) at least one polymer containing at least 5 wt% vinylpyrrolidone units. An independent claim is also included for cosmetic preparations containing 0.01-20 wt% GCP, 20-99.99 wt% water and/or alcohol and 0-79.5 wt% other components.
