The arrangement has a transmitter/receiver (6) on the vehicle side connected to at least one vehicle component (1-5) and an external transmitter/receiver (7) that communicates with it wirelessly. The transmitter/receiver on the vehicle side is part of a central locking system whose controller (5) is set into data transmission mode by a signal from the external transmitter/receiver for the exchange of vehicle- and/or person-specific data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method of data transmission between networked components in a motor vehicle and transmitter/receiver unit (b) the use of a central locking system for programming and/or testing and/or diagnosis of networked vehicle components (c) and the use of a central locking system for sending personal data from an external transmitter/receiver to networked vehicle components.
