The vehicle has a shelf which can be moved between a closed and an open position and which has a lamp on its front panel. The shelf (1) has a first switch element (10). This cooperates with a second switch element (13) on the vehicle and connected with a current source, such that, when the shelf is closed, the two contact elements contact to switch the lamp (8) on. When the shelf is opened the contacts are separated and the lamp is switch off.
