A method for identification of dentures (10) or their parts, in particular, teeth involves firm attachment of a transponder with an identification code to the denture or its part, and use of a device capable of reading the identification code. An independent claim is also included for provision of dentures or their parts with transponders incorporating identification codes capable of being read by appropriate devices.
