Method for determining the radiation intensity of several radiation sources, especially UV bulbs of a sun bed, has the following steps: coupling of a fraction of the radiation of reach radiation source into a common waveguide and transmission of the coupled light to a sensor element in order to generate a signal characteristic of a specific wavelength for the several radiation sources. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (a) a method for controlling the radiation intensity in a 3D area; (b) a system for determining the radiation intensity of a number of radiation sources and; (c) a system for controlling the radiation intensity within a 3D area.
