The axial drive has an input shaft (210) axially normal to the output shaft (212-1) and with plate wheel gearing. A first drive pinion (215) is coaxial with the input shaft and a second drive pinion (217) axially parallel with the input shaft engages with a second plate wheel gearing (216). A drive connection (219, 220) is provided between the input shaft and first drive pinion and input shaft and second drive pinion. A second output shaft is coaxial and rotatable with the first output shaft. A compensating gear (222) connects the input shaft to the drive connections of the two drive pinions whereby the two plate wheel gears can rotate relative to each other.
