The glass ceramic plate (3) has cooking points (9) with flame outlets (17) and gas burners (7) with flame jets (22) below. A positioner element (31) below the ceramic plate is in contact with gas burner and plate, to align the flame jets with the flame apertures. The element is a spacer for vertical burner alignment. It also has a horizontal centering element (43) for horizontal alignment. There is a horizontal gap of pref. 0,5 to 1mm between centering element and burner. Each burner is born on an elastic bearing unit (30) and this also supports the spacer.
