The foil web is formed partly open for diffusion and partly blocking off diffusion. Seen from an axis running in the longitudinal direction of the web the foil web (4) has a diffusion-open area (4b) on one side and a diffusion-barrier area (4a) on the other side. The front or back comprises an area which can be plastered over whilst the back of the web is provided with an expanding foam sealing strip. Independent claim describes window profile with fixed foil web. Further independent claim describes method for manufacturing foil web by providing diffusion-open and diffusion-blocking foils as used for sealing connections between window frames (1) and supporting building structures (3).
