SWATH hull with increased loading capacity has double profiled extensions under the hull to provide lift when heavily laden

A SWATH hull, Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull, has the craft supported on two slim parallel supports (2) fitted with streamlined buoyancy profiles (3) under the waterline (5). The tops of the supports run into tapering buoyancy profiles (6) which curve into the profile of the hull. When the craft is heavily laden the uprights and the lower parts of the upper buoyancy profiles support some of the load while keeping the water drag to a minimum, and with a minimum of wash. The underwater buoyancy profiles include water ballast chambers (7) to control the trim of the craft.
