The fixing device includes a resilient hanger (17) which is mounted between a muffler side connecting pin (7) and car body side connecting pin (11). The car body side connecting pin is aligned parallel to the muffler side connecting pin, and connected to the car body. The muffler side connecting pin is fixed at both sides of the muffler and aligned approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the muffler.
