Foldable plate comprises plate elements (1, 2) joined together by an adhesive layer (5) along connecting edges (3, 4) so that the plate elements can be folded about an axis. The plate elements lie flush with their connecting edges in the folded state. The adhesive layer is applied partially on the connecting edges of each plate element. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a foldable plate.
