The method comprises introducing into the room (A) at a maximum of 10 4 ions/cm 3 and (B) at a maximum of 30 ppb (60 mu g/cm 3). (A) and (B) are generated by a combined ion/ozone generating apparatus, placed in the room and either integrated or incorporated into the air circulation, and then they are introduced into the room through the air supply, the central aeration unit or the air recirculation system.
