Piezoelectric material layer (12A) and internal electrodes (121,122) are laminated alternately to form a piezoelectric stack (12). A cylindrical container (11) encloses the stack expandably. A resistance element (12C) arranged inside the container is electrically connected to the piezoelectric stack. An independent claim is also included for fuel injector of internal combustion engine.
