The drive circuit has a pair of switching elements (64a,64b) for controlling charging and discharging of piezo stack (4) and capacitor (63). A controller (71) turns ON the switching elements (64a,64b) in the middle of the charging and discharging period of the piezo stack, respectively. An independent claim is also included for fuel injection apparatus.
