The device for the catching of drilling dust has a fastening section (10) with a self-adhesive area (14), and a catching section (12) connected to the fastening section. The catching section is constructed flat in a collapsed state, and in an assembled position has a pocket to catch drilling swarf and/or dust created in the region of the fastening section. The fastening section has at least one adhesive strip (16) with an adhesive side provided on the fastening section's side opposite the assembled pocket.
