The system is incorporated into a casing (10) with an integral fuel storage space (11). This space has a sealable access opening (9) in one side wall and a sealable roof opening (8). The casing can be located outside the building being heated and once the access and roof openings have been opened, a fuel transport vehicle can be driven into it in order to tip fuel into the storage space.
