The shading device has horizontal slats (11) on the outside held at their ends on profiles (5,6). A connecting support (10) is fixed on two adjoining profiles whilst a predetermined number of holders (14) for each slat is mounted on the support and owing to the inclined closure of the opening their length is shorter than the distance between the profiles. The support is preferably a profiled rail, with each holder being arranged longitudinally displaceable or rotationally movable on the support.
