The slat adapter for the fastening of slats (1) on shading systems has a spigot which fits torsionally fixed in a socket on a post (2). The spigot is connected at one end to a plate upon which is fastened a slat via a fastening means. Openings are provided in the plate for the fitting of bolts for fastening of the slat. The slat adapter has a T-shaped construction, and the spigot is constructed as a multiple-splined shaft. The plate is fitted with positive locking between the post and end face of the slats.
