The musical instrument support frame has a flat table top (1), held in a horizontal or slightly-sloping position. It may be used to support a variety of musical instruments, including a zither. The flat table top plate stands on three legs (3-5), assembled together to form a frame (2) with a hinge or flexure in the central leg. An obtuse-angled triangle is formed, with an angle at the central leg of approximately 109 degrees. A cross-bracing strut (7) holds the legs at the correct angle. Cross- members (6) at the top hold the legs together.
