The exploring coil arrangement includes two coil bodies (12,14) made from plastic, wherein the first coil body has a first ring recess for the winding of a measurement coil. The second coil body has a larger diameter and has a second ring recess for the winding of a transmitter coil. Two first receptacles (34,36) are provided for the contact pins (44) of the second coil body. A pair of second receptacles (38,40) is provided for second contact pins of the second coil body for connection wires of the transmitter coil. A single-piece cylindrical ferrite body can be inserted into the second coil body and the first coil body is held by the ring-shaped recess of the ferrite body.
