The arrangement has a supplementary coil (10) provided as a measuring coil for determination of temperature of a drive coil. The drive coil and the supplementary coil are wound on a coil body such that the drive coil and the supplementary coil are coupled thermally. The supplementary coil is designed as a holding coil of the electromagnetic drive. A measuring resistor (RM) is connected in series with the supplementary coil. The supplementary coil is connected to a voltage source (UB) and a free wheeling circuit (11) during opened and closed states of a switch (S), respectively. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a driving controller for an electromagnetic drive with a drive coil and a switching arrangement for determining temperature of a drive coil (2) a method for determining temperature of a drive coil in a driving controller for an electromagnetic drive.
