An indicator disc for diabetics which relates insulin injection, the interval before eating, and food intake before sleeping, in terms of blood sugar, for both normal and fast-acting insulin, is new. An indicator disc for diabetics which relates insulin injection, the interval before eating, and food intake before sleeping, in terms of blood sugar, for both normal and fast-acting insulin, is new. On one face (1), a window (6, 7) shows the expiry time between insulin injection and food intake, in accordance with the blood sugar value of the patient. The window (9) on the other face shows information concerning the quantity of sugar-containing and other foods, which the patient must take before going to sleep, in accordance with the blood sugar value. On the disc (3) two scales are provided. One scale (10) is for normal insulin dosing, the other (8) is for dosing of fast-acting insulin e.g. Humalog(RTM; fast acting mealtime insulin). The dial and faces are made of e.g. card.
