The slide block for the fastening of elements on a profiled rail comprises a preformed component (3) which generally is a rectangular solid with an opening (6) and a penetration (7) to accommodate a screw head (8) or a nut. The rectangular solid is profiled in such a way that in a first position of its longitudinal sides (11,12) it can fit between the sides of the C-form rail, and by turning through 90 degrees into a second position can be fixed in the slotted section of the rail.
