The system for assembly of hoses and connectors for hoses of nominal bore 4 - 25 and for applying identifiers to them has two jaws (2) with recesses which form a cylindrical cavity for holding the hose while the connector is fitted. It is then passed to a second holder (3) in the form of an open box with cut-outs in its upper edge. A guide plate (6) is then lowered over it and dies (7) used to apply identifying information to them.
