The machine has a magnetic coupling drive with an electric drive motor (3) transferring a torque via a magnetic coupling to a shaft of the flow machine (1). The coupling has axial rotors in the form of an outer rotor (10) enclosing an inner rotor (9). A hysteresis coupling (2) is arranged between the drive motor in the form of an asynchronous three-phase motor and the flow machine.
