The wall cupboard (1), particularly for use by disabled people, is mounted in a frame (12) with an inverted U shape. This has slanting U-profile guides (6) on its side arms, along which plastic blocks (7) attached to the cupboard walls slide. The cupboard can be lowered and brought forward using a motorized chain drive (8 -11) which moves the block and passes over rollers (13) below the guide.
