A window blind and curtain system has a conventional slatted blind, e.g. for aluminium slats, supported from a box fitted above the window opening. The invention has a conventional curtain rail fitted to the front of the box to hang curtains on the room side of the window. This gives the user the option of either window covering, depending on the outside conditions. The curtains and blind are operated via separate control lines.
