The system (1) has a blind curtain (2) e.g. insect-/particle grids, whose end is arranged at a carrier (3), and control cords (4) supported at the carrier and covering the blind curtain from the carrier by three loops. The loops are formed from the control cords. The carrier has a C-shaped retainer, which extends in a longitudinal direction of the carrier. A cord carriage is adjustably supported within the retainer. The blind curtain is rollable on a reel core (5). The end of the blind curtain is projected into lateral guide rails in the assembly condition of the system. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a roller blind system.
