Safety door for baling press has a mechanical interlock to prevent closing the door with the bale ejection plate still in the raised position

A baling press is fitted with a safety door with interlocks which prevent the press action unless the system has the correct settings. The access door is further fitted with a simple mechanical interlock which prevents the press from operating while the bale ejection plate is still in the raised position. A simple interlock has an eccentric catch on the ejection plate which extends into the door opening when the plate is in the raised position, and thereby preventing the door from closing. Apart from the visual indication of an open door, the door safety interlock also prevent the press from operating while the door is open.
