An electric water heating system for supplying heat directly to site and without any connections to a boiler, or hot water tank, has electric heating elements (4) fitted into water pipes (5) using standard pipe connection fittings (3). These can be 4 port cross connections, t-sections etc. The heating elements are fitted to a connecting flange (2) which fits into the pipe fitting and with the electric connections (1) on the outside. The heating system can be assembled into any selected array and the pipe fittings can be joined by brazing, welding, screw fittings etc.
