Disclosed is a hinge which has a simple construction and can thus be produced in a cost-effective manner and changes from a first unstressed snap position into a second snap position when the two hinge components are displaced in the angle area of 90 DEG to 180 DEG . Each hinge component (101, 102) is provided with a level hinge element (111, 112) and an offset roof surface element (7, 7') fixed therein. The hinge components are connected to each other by means of the roof surface elements (7, 7') in the hinge axis (10). Said elements are erected against each other. An intermediate element (121) is configured as a notch (120) in the roof surface elements (7, 7'). Said snap hinge can be arranged in a container lid.
