The system for mounting the base plate (7) of a car window opener on the bodywork (6) comprises bolts (8) which fit through bores (63) in the bodywork These are held by actuators (2, 2) with a control unit (1) which adjusts their position so that they pass through the bores at right angles to the bodywork. An Independent claim is included for a method for mounting the base plate using the system.
