The invention relates to tubular knitwear items complete with shoulder straps (20, 21), braces and various openings for legs or arms, manufactured without the usual cutting and sewing operations. Through the appropriate selection of needles, in accordance with the jaquard design and to the operating cycle of the knitting machine, the invention allows the separation and automatic programmed resumption of knitted courses for defined areas or zones, thereby obtaining at least a complete opening or brace, formed by at least a simple or double welt, or even multiple, edges, depending on circumstances. Lastly, the invention eliminates the current necessary cut and sew operations and the consequent, usual and costly fabric scrap.
