The label, made in one piece and designed to be stuck to the outer surface of a container or package such as a bottle (B), consists of at least two leaves (1, 2) carrying information on at least one face. The rear leaf (2) is fixed to the container by the whole of its surface, while the front leaf (1) is folded over the rear one and has a strip (5) which overlaps it and is stuck to the container, with a line (6) of reduced resistance that allows it to be separated and opened. In a variant the label can have more than two leaves with additional leaves folded between the rear and front leaves and held in place by the adhesive edge strip of the front leaf until it is opened.
