The present invention relates to a mesostructured material, preferably comprising a mineral phase, within which are dispersed particles of nanometre dimensions comprising a metal oxide in the crystalline state, chosen from among cerium oxide, zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, or an oxide of a rare earth element other than cerium, said oxide comprising at least one metal element m in cationic form, in solid solution within the crystal lattice of the oxide. The present invention also relates to a process for obtaining such a material, as well as the use of this type of material, in particular, by way of heterogeneous catalysts, or as a support for the catalytic species.
