The door (3) comprises a support (2) fitted with a hinge (4) around a first axis (Z1) and fixed to the bodywork (5). The door is fitted on a first side (3a) with a hinge (6), around a second axis (Z2) parallel to the first, and integral with the support. The second edge (3b) of the door is located between the hinges so that the hinge (4) allows opening of the support by pivoting around the first axis in a first direction (F1). The hinge (6) allows opening of the door by pivoting around the second axis in a second direction (F2) opposite to the first direction. An independent claim is included for an automobile fitted with a door.
