O-Alkylated and O-alkylated-O-n-butanoylated sugar and itol derivatives (I) and (II). O-Alkylated and O-alkylated-O-n-butanoylated sugar and itol derivatives of formulae (I) and (II) [Image] Su : a saccharidic derivative or an itol derivative, these being optionally cyclic and optionally protected; R : 1-18c alkyl or alkenyl chain; P : a group attached to a sugar OH group and forming an ether, ester, or dioxalane acetal group; i : the number hydroxyl sites not carrying R, these being entirely free or partially or fully protected by P groups; j : the number of hydroxyl groups that are protected.
