The ladder attachment consists of a leg with one or more projecting pegs (6) to engage with notches (4) in a tubular sleeve fastened to one side (20) of a ladder by brackets (17) with plates (16) and clamps (18) made from four corner pieces assembled by bolts (19). The plates have holes (23) in them that allow them to be bolted to the ladder side piece, and the notches in the sleeve are curved in shape to prevent any accidental disengagement of the pegs. A longer projecting peg on the upper end of the leg can be lashed to the ladder side piece by an elastic cord fastener.
