The production of a three-dimensional porous fibrous structure incorporates a coherent three-dimensional substrate of refractory fibres. Carbon nanotubes are incorporated into the fibrous structure by growth on the refractory fibres of the substrate, in a manner to obtain a three-dimensional structure of refractory fibres enriched with carbon nanotubes. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for the production of a thermostructural composite material component incorporating a fibrous preformer and densification of this preformer with a refractory matrix; (b) a coherent three-dimensional structure obtained by this method.
