The seat (1) which is articulated on the vehicle bodywork (4) comprises a seat part (2) and a back (3). The seat part and the back are connected by a connecting rod (9) which pivots on the back and the seat part. A rear rod (16) connecting the back to the bodywork is pivoted on the back and the bodywork. The back is also connected to the bodywork by coupling means (19) located near the back top end (7) and able to move between an active position where they secure the top end to the bodywork and a passive position where the top end is released from the bodywork.
