A ceramic material with an elevated permittivity has the following chemical formula: (a) (Bi(1-x)Ax)2 (Zn(1-y)By)2/3 (Nb(1-z)Cz)4/3 O7; (b) with 0 at most x less than 1; (c) 0 at most y less than 1; (d) 0 at most z less than 1; (e) a is a trivalent cation of the type: Y, La, Cr, Co, Mn, Al, Fe; (f) B is a divalent cation of the type: Mg, Ca, Co, Mn, Ni, Cu, Fe; (g) C is a pentavalent cation of the type: V, Ta, Sb. Independent claims are also included for: (a) methods for the production of a powder of this ceramic material; (b) methods for the production of strips and multi-layer structures with a base of this ceramic material.
