Production of mineral fillers in surface-treated, encapsulated, masterbatch or composite blend form involves mixing an aqueous suspension of a mineral compound with an aqueous polymer emulsion and drying the mixture with ultra-high frequency (UHF) radiation. An Independent claim is also included for a mineral filler additive for polymers and a masterbatch or composite blend produced as above.
