The one-piece control for the tension of a group of two upper (3a, 3b) and one lower (4) slat in a sun bed has an upper strip (9) with hooked ends (10a, 10b) which fit over the edges of the upper slats. One of these has a connecting strip (11) linking it to an elliptical spring (6). A third hook (12) on the base of this fits over the edge of the lower slat.
