Method for managing the write operation in a memory store, where the writing is done on the former line, and each line comprises a one-bit cursor

The memory comprises several lines (L1 to L8), and each line comprises a one-bit cursor whose state is inverted at each write operation on the corresponding line. The bearing of the former line is found by reading the order of the lines and the cursor of each line. The former line comprises the first cursor whose state is different from that of the first line. If the state of all cursors is identical during the phase of bearing of the former line, the writing is done on the first line. The validity of each line (L1 to L8) is determined, and the cursor is read only for the valid lines (L2,L3,L6,L7,L8), as in a variant of the method. During the writing on one line, the first sum of all bits to write on the line is computed and written in a placement reserved in the line. In order to determine the validity of each line, the second sum of all bits written on the line is computed and compared with the sum written in the reserved placement. A line is declared valid if the result of the comparison is exact, and invalid if the result of the comparison is false. The memory store is of type Electrically Erasable and Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM).
