The lighter has two susceptible covers (32, 34) displaced in a rotating movement between break and active position, under action of an effort exercised by thumb of a user. A flame generation device (30) has a gas supplying mechanism (36) and a piezoelectric mechanism. The piezoelectric mechanism generates a spark (50) when both covers are displaced, where the cover (32) can be independently displaced from the cover (34).
