The assembly has a guide unit deploying an air bag of a safety device and fixed to an internal side of a board. The unit has a peripheral fixing flange (42) to delimit interiorly an opening zone of the board and passage of the bag. A connecting unit (70) has a unit (91) to fix in the device, and is distinct from the guide unit. The connecting unit is fixed separately at the board in a peripheral zone external to the flange. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a process for manufacturing a dashboard assembly (b) a motor vehicle having a dashboard assembly.
