A decorative garland has a chain of lights (10) consisting of a number of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) (11) connected in series, a transparent tube (20) having two connecting wires (30) for the chain of lights is provided in common with the latter, where both connection wires are joined to the chain of lights for supply of the working voltage of the lights. A garland (40) is wound around the transparent tube (20).
