The composition material consists of a base layer of an enamel type material containing a high proportion of aluminium, covered with one or more layers of ceramic refractory materials for protection. The ceramic layers contain metal oxides, carbides or borides, used together or separately, and can also contain sialon powders. A utensil (2) or vessel requiring protection is first cleaned mechanically or chemically, followed by application of a bonding coating (1) of an enamel-type material by dipping, spray or brush. After baking, intermediate (3) and subsequent ceramic layers are applied in the same way and baked after each application, with a final protective layer (4) applied by metallisation or plasma jet.
