Motor vehicle steering wheel angular position determining system for on-board application, has calculator calculating wheels angular position based on angular position in radians given by sensor and number of turns made by wheel
The system has a sensor (3) to measure the angular position of a steering wheel (4) in radians, a detecting unit to determine number of turns made by the steering wheel, and a calculator (2) to calculate the angular position of the steering wheel based on the angular position in radians provided by the sensor and the relative number of turns made by the steering wheel. An independent claim is also included for a process for determining the angular position of a steering wheel of a motor vehicle.
