Vehicle equipped with a device (A) for treating exhaust gases, from a combustion unit, particularly a diesel or petrol engine, where (A) includes a unit (5) that produces ammonia from at least one starting material. The new feature is that the starting materials supplied to (5) are hydrogen and nitrogen. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing the new vehicle.
